The Fox And Hounds - Eastleigh

Had a lovely meal here. I had steak, with a pepper sauce. Great variety of veges, plus fresh and tasty side salad. All cooked really well. My husband really enjoyed his gammon steak with eggs. Will be back soon. Highly recommended for food.

We did a big family walk to get here and were hungry. First off, they said they couldn't give us allergy info, then they said they didn't have any packing to check, and then they pulled out an allergy menu that wasn't up to date. So we couldn't eat anything. To be fair, the waiter was helpful and apologetic but this is illegal, unhelpful and dangerous. Apart from that, it's fairly run down, with broken kids toys and angry signs.

Staff totally ignored us while we waited to be served at the bar. Not even a smile came our way when eye contact was made. When I asked about which cider was dry the bar maid replied, I don 't drink cider so your asking the wrong person she was more interested in talking to the one obvious regular that she knew.she poured two ciders to a gentleman who asked for moretti. I don 't think I have ever felt such a cold welcome from a pub and their staff. Will I revisit. No thanks I will go to a bar that happily wants custom with decency and manners.

Visited with friends on a chilly April day, the pub seemed dreary, a fireplace with no lit fire, my pet hate) . No table service, have to find menus yourself, only one bitter although 4 pumps, apparently they can't afford to get more beer until the summer.. Eventually some fairy lights were switched on by the sole member of staff, food was ok, staff member was helpful and friendly but sadly nothing draws you back to this pub.

Nice old pub, friendly and cozy. Food is not so good. Birthday treat for teenage intercourse, sadly not noticed.
