The menu was disappointing as there was no lobster for lobster rolls available. No Flounder, either. We each settled for 2 piece Fish and Chips, and I had salad and some very bad coffee. I have to admit we were in a tourist area where few places are open before mid-May (Fishermens Cove in Eastern Passage) and business was slow. The proprieter was friendly, and I think did his best to make us welcome. There was still snow around and the outside patio needs a serious clean-up. I think the fish and batter needs improving (it may have been precooked and frozen then refried). My salad was good and there was plenty of it, with dressing on the side. I'll be back in the late spring to check again. Fresh good coffee is the first thing I'll check.
Are you looking for a cheap restaurant with real food that tasts awesome in Eastern Passage? Gordy's is it! We discovered this gem this year and it has become our regular dining out location as a family. The hamburgers and clams chips are definitely our favorite. I usually hate taking salads as a side dish because I'm usually dissapointed with the substance of the salad. At Gordy's, the veggie are plenty and varied... yum!
Despite the unassuming exterior, the food at this restaurant is delicious. During the summer, it's a great experience to dine on the patio with views of the inlet.
I absolutely adore this restaurant. It has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. The service is warm and inviting, reminiscent of the TV show "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. While it may not be a fancy dining spot, the food is delicious and the portions are generous. If you're in search of excellent service, tasty food, and a cozy environment, this is the perfect place for you.
My visit to this charming little restaurant at the end of May was delightful. The food was delicious, our waitress was very friendly and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Initially, we almost overlooked this hidden gem due to its small size, but the restaurant's back area overlooks the wharf. We had our meal at a table on the wharf, watching the birds and soaking up the sunshine. It was truly an awesome experience!
