Avoid the worst food, especially the tandoori dishes. I ordered lamb tikka and received a few pieces of boiled lamb, deep fried. If the management of Curry Leaf, now known as Curry Life, is reading this, please understand that you cannot deceive people - people know what food is supposed to be. The biryani was a blend. Take your staff to different food places to see what and how others are doing. I came to your restaurant because many others were fully booked, and I was there for 2 hours without any other customers. And the Calcutta lady should stop denying. Little does she know, I am also Bengali and have been an award-winning Indian Bengali chef for the last 4 years with 27 years of experience.
We stopped by this restaurant on the seaside without planning to, looking for a curry, and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was charming, the service was quick, and the food was delicious, although the madras was very spicy! It was more like a vindaloo, but I managed to finish it with my partner's delicious chicken tikka masala. I would definitely recommend this place.
I ordered from this restaurant tonight let me first of all say it Used to be my favourite Indian restaurant. This Changed Tonight. I wont order ever again from here the food took over 2 hours. When I rang the restaurant I was so rudely spoken to said they didn't care the food was late. Didn't know when it would turn up they didn't care. They wouldn't do anything to sort it out for me. When it turned up it was cold looked disgusting and was disgusting. My advice dont go here go somewhere where you will be appreciated and will care about your food. They didn't even care when I said I will leave a bad review they said go on its shocking. Shameful.
I ordered a takeaway from Curry Leaf and was disappointed with the £9 tandoori mixed grill. It came with a burnt chicken leg, 2 pieces of chicken cubes, and a sheekh kebab (missing lamb and naan bread as listed on the menu). When I called to provide feedback, I was told that naan bread is no longer included and that the issue is with Just Eat, not the restaurant. I found this response unsatisfactory as it seemed like I was charged £9 for a bit of burnt chicken. Additionally, Curry Leaf did not seem concerned about my reporting the issue on Tripadvisor.
