It looked inviting enough, so we decided to give it a try. Definitely a 50’s vibe, with lunch counter, booths, big black and white checkered floor, red leatherette chairs, and lots of chrome. There was one booth open at the back of the restaurant. <br/ <br/ SWMBO decided on the BLT Sandwich, which is a diner classic. Her sandwich was served on a large dish, with fries. The bacon was crispy and folded, giving the sandwich that piled high look. She would have preferred less lettuce and more tomato, but it was still a good sandwich. The coleslaw on the side was a bit too vinegary for her liking. The fries were nicely done, with a bit of crispness on the outside. <br/ <br/ So, what made my omelette so good? Mostly it was the ingredients. The “classic” Western has ham, onions and green pepper. Some places sadly leave out the green pepper. However, at this diner, you get all of the above, and plenty of it. And there were both red and green pepper, not overcooked, so they still had a bit of crunch. And there was cheddar cheese! I think the cheddar is a great addition to a Western omelette. <br/ <br/ Service was reasonably fast and efficient.
