The guys who work there are very nice and I have gotten to know a little bit about the parts of Africa where they lived. There coffee is very nice and a good pick me up. The other Sunday night 17 April, I called in on my way home from visiting friends. I was a bit hungry and thought why not give it a try. A lot of men were there watching the soccer and cheering their team on. Anyway there is no menu so I asked what I could have to eat, there was lamb or chicken drum sticks. I ordered the chicken and a coffee. You will see in my pictures the chicken, it tasted great and I love the banana that's comes with the meal. The cafe is basic but nice give it a try.
I have been frequenting the Shiil Coffee Lounge in East Victoria Park for months now, just to grab a coffee on my way to work. The staff there are very friendly, and I've learned a bit about the different parts of Africa where they are from. The coffee is always delicious and gives me a good boost in the morning. One Sunday night in April, I found myself passing by on my way home from a friend's place. Feeling a bit peckish, I decided to give their food a try. Many men were gathered around watching football and cheering on their team. With no menu in sight, I asked what they had to eat and was told they had lamb or chicken drumsticks. I opted for the lamb hunch and a coffee. The hunch was flavorful and went well with the banana that came with the meal. The café itself is simple, but has a welcoming atmosphere.
The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant was spotless.
This restaurant is fantastic.
