All Night Eggplant - EAST SYRACUSE

Our first visit today will likely be our last. We found the atmosphere fine and our waitress was superb. However, the bottom line for any restaurant is the food. I opted for a late breakfast of eggs Benedict and home fries. The hollandaise was tasteless, I may as well have had a poached egg with overcooked ham on an english muffin. The home fries were burnt and bitter. My girlfriend ordered what amounted to a bacon cheeseburger and the burger was dry and completely unseasoned. The bun it came on was hard and dry...and toasted on top of that. To end it all, her mountain dew $3.25) was flat and came in a mere 10oz cup. Kudos for the great service but the poor meal was simply too much to overcome to make us want to return.

Lots of pancake selections. We had sandwiches which were just another average sandwich. Also limited selection.

First time, recommended by work friends. The half-cold home fries and the very narrowband thin strips of bacon (also cold) weren't the worst. Trying to make it home to the toilet was the worst. Stay away!!

Meet with a group that regularly meets for lunch. The waitress recognized my friend immediately and got us to a table. Lnew she wanted decaf and was johnny on the spot! I think her name is Chris. Breakfast menu is extensive, plenty of choices for omelets. Decent lunch choices. I didn't feel like breakfast so I ordered a cheese burger with onion lettuce tomato. Toasted bun. Very good and cooked the way I ordered, medium rare. Came with chips and pickle. My friend had lox cream cheese and bagel, came with lettuce and tomato. She said it, too, was very tasty. Regular coffee was just strong enough, only one creamer!!My friend treated today so I'm not sure of the total bill. I think my burger was 11 bucks.Very busy place!!! But there seemed to be plenty of room for all.

I will never go back 2 hours waiting for food then it was cold and vertigo expensive!
