Smokey D's Bbq Fish - East Saint Louis

The food at this restaurant is excellent for the price. I live in Florida, but whenever I'm in the area, I always make sure to get my barbecue from there. Keep up the good cooking!

I chose to dine here instead of Big Momma's, but it was a big mistake. The pulled pork was overcooked and overpriced. They were out of half of the items we wanted to order from the menu. I will not be returning.

This is one of the worst places I have ever visited. The woman at the front counter took more than thirty minutes to serve me my food, both times I went there. They don't even start preparing pre-ordered food until you arrive. The woman at the counter is one of the rudest and nastiest people I have ever encountered. She was seen angrily yelling at a customer while I was there. The customer left upset because of her rudeness, and she followed them outside yelling, saying they must not want their food. The service here is terrible with a horrible woman at the counter. The staff are definitely not friendly or professional. Rude, nasty, and slow service. Going to this place was a very upsetting experience. I had to post this under a different name because the woman was so terrible I didn't want her to know who I am or where I live. Overall, my visit here was a very unpleasant experience. The food was mediocre at best and overpriced for the quality.

Highly recommended! We have been enjoying Smokey D's smoked turkey for the past 2 years. This Christmas, we decided to try their amazing ham which did not disappoint. Most recently, we tried their pork steaks which were thick, delicate, and delicious - just like every other item we have tried from here. Smokey D's is truly a hidden gem!

I tried the burnt ends and jalapeno and cheddarwurst at this restaurant after a recommendation from a worker. Both dishes were delicious, as was the Bloody Mary I ordered. The prices were also very reasonable. The only downside was that the burnt ends were not crispy and had a bread-like aroma, which did not make them the best (soft and mushy). Despite this, I would still recommend this place, with a slight caution about the burnt ends.
