On a side note, I had an interesting conversation with a local canal lock worker. It started off well, but then he began to share some rather outlandish conspiracy theories about perpetual energy machines and his belief that Michelle Obama is actually a man, as well as his view that Trump is a good leader. He challenged me on how I could say that America doesn't like him if we elected him, and I simply told him I didn't have enough time to explain how the electoral college works and why everything he was saying was completely misguided. But back to the restaurant—it's definitely a five-star establishment. As for that guy, I’d have to give him negative five stars!

I stayed here with a group of motorhomes and felt very welcomed. The food was fantastic, and the owners and staff were friendly.

The home-cooked food is excellent, and Jo is incredibly welcoming. Highly recommend!

Delicious food and an excellent location right by the canal. The pub has a warm atmosphere and is very welcoming to dogs as well.
