Fork Anchor - East Marion

I absolutely love this quaint little spot! It's perfect for a quick, quality meal before or after a ferry ride. The sandwiches and coffee are fantastic, and the breakfast sandwiches are simply amazing, just like the pastries. I also appreciate that they offer local products for sale. I'm not sure if all the food is locally sourced, but it is certainly delicious. Plus, the service is consistently fast and accurate.

The sandwiches here are excellent—I'd highly recommend the crispy chicken sandwich. The baked goods are just as impressive; the apple fritter is definitely my favorite!

Why do you have customers standing outside in the cold on the street and waiting for food? Yes, I understand your concerns for security, but it's 2021 now. Your staff uses disinfectants, masks and gloves. No other deli on the North Fork looks like your staff. I can understand whether it was March 2020 and people were unprepared or had no PPE, but to turn your shop into a 'food window' by locking the front door is completely ridiculous behavior and I'm not standing on the street like a fool waiting for food. What next? Order smoke signals? Food bags on a fishing stick?

Absolutely perfect old fashioned well equipped Deli on your way out to the Orient Ferry. The chili 8 oz for about 7 Bucks was a beautiful melange of beans beef and spices. My only concern was the serving temperature of the chili which was completely below recommended serving temperature. I had to request the cashier put both containers of chili into the microwave. This concern should be addressed immediately, this place deserves a 5-star rating.

This is a fantastic spot for quick and incredible sandwiches. They offer unique twists on classic recipes, like their delicious basil mayonnaise and fresh, locally-sourced vegetables. Everything is simply delicious!
