Best ice cream in SA! Went to East London and just had to stop. Thanx guys!

Friesland Milk Bar is not situated in the best of areas but the Best Milkshake Fiesta Fruit was my favourite. A Huge shout out to the staff, who waited for us even though they were closing at 5pm. We called to say we were on our way but couldn't make it for 5pm and they waited. Thank you so much, it was definitely better than the milkshakes we have in Cape Town

Everybody raves about this place. I am not a milk shake fan ordered the banana and found it to be really sweet for my taste buds. Not only is milk shakes served here but ice cream chips cool drinks and probably more.

I am 76 years old and have been going to the Friesland Milk bar as long as I can remember. My father and mother also went there in their youth. BEST icecream and milkshakes in South Africa and possibly the world. It's rightt up there with Gelato as made in Italy. It's my first stop when I travel back to East London and I always have to take their sauces and milkshakes back with me for my adult children in Joey's.
