I opened side door to look inside. I said looking very nice(strong smell paint/varnish. Work in process). Was told Staff only. And please try step over carefully at threshold as still sticky from varnish. Strong smell paint etc in corridors. Room presented well although bed was practically on floor(futon style). Shower room very tight in space. So unless your small in height and size and young n fit avoid. You’ll struggle on all accounts. No meals were being served. And work in progress. Staff ignorant and very unwelcoming.
I stayed at this charming hotel for just one night to attend a fireworks display. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, though the bathroom was a bit small it was still clean with a great shower and soft white towels. There were plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits in the room. We opted for a late check-out for £10 (usual check-out time is 10:30) so we could relax on Sunday morning. The breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again.
Very rude staff My granddaughter went to the bar and asked for a glass of water to be told 'When i got time ' We had already had a round of drinks before the meal but my grand kids like water with their meal and and the roast dinner meal came without yorkshire pudding or roast potatoes but did include instant mash, yuk.
We visited whiles on holiday, didn't really expect such nice food, but the food was great quality and lovely cooked, we were very happy and had 2 happy kids. Great choice for kids too. 4 meals, 3 desserts, 2 bottles of cider, j20, and a very nice cocktail and the bill was just under £60, such good value for money. The staff are super friendly, and they were very helpful. They were getting ready for the England game and was busy but nothing was to much... They had a family room with things to entertain the kids... as we were leaving they were also setting the disco up, daughter had fun dancing on there dance floor Clean loos too and plenty of seating area inside and out
During our mini break over the bank holiday, we decided to dine at this restaurant. The family room was quite noisy due to the music entertainment, but we persevered and placed our food order. We were given a numbered wooden spoon at the bar and waited for our food. While waiting (for about an hour), we observed one waiter rushing in and out of the kitchen with plates of food, not knowing which table had ordered what. Despite being under a lot of stress, the waiter remained calm and polite under pressure. The food was good value and the whole family enjoyed it. I believe the management should consider adjusting the bar to waiting staff ratio during peak periods as it seemed unfair to have only one member of staff handling everything.
