We go there every year but this time I saw the owner tell a young girl in a wheelchair of because she chose to sit in a different table all the owner had to do was move two chair the women was crying and left...with her two children the owner smokes via cigarettes whilst serving food
Me and my partner wanted something in a cheap eats range, we passed this cafe twice looked at the menu outside everything was in a good range for us, we went in we wanted to be out the way with my wheelchair (some people in...Skegness were rude to people in chairs moaning their always in the way so we went on a higher part owner was confused why we did it I said people been rude and didn't want a problem in his cafe he understood by the way there was plenty of room for wheelchairs as no one was in we wanted to be out the way) Toliet was upstairs that was the only down point but I managed to get up and down stairs fine. Cash only Staff was lovely, Menu clean and clear to read. Order at the till got own knives, forks, salt and Pepper. Food took 10mins and was great size for what we wanted. This place is ace inside, loads of pictures up on the wall, records on the ceiling, Statues around, you can take pictures only if you eat there. Rock and Roll music, Oldies music, loads of Elvis memories. Will go back when next visit Skegness.
Was a lovely breakfast that we had, lovely coffee and our kids had a milkshake. Great atmosphere and the owners were really nice. The only fault I have with this establishment is that there is only one high chair, so my son had to wait...until he could sit down, otherwise lovely
Always walked past but never been in to eat. Was in Skeg didn't fancy the usual Macs, BK or KFC so tried out the Jive Bunny Cafe. Great memorabilia of the rock n roll kind, you could spend a great deal of time looking...at all the pictures records on display not to mention the life size figures of stars from 50/60's. Think it's a great place if you like music from this era. Ok now the food which in my opinion doesn't reflect the theme of the cafe. Menu is bog standard cafe food, there's no American Diner flavour to the meals. I was expecting huge thick shakes, Pepsi floats, ice cream sundaes, american styled named burgers with fries. But none of the above here so unfortunately I ended up with a jacket potato, the others had fish, chips mushy peas normal cheese burger I think. Didn't bother taking pics as they were very uninspiring. Don't get me wrong, food was ok but more like a meal at a supermarket cafe rather than your rock n roll diner. Apparently breakfasts are good but no pancakes with bacon maple syrup as one would expect. Sorry I did want to score Jive Bunny higher but food wise, I was disappointed.
