Hopcat - East Lansing

I had a great time at this restaurant! They have a fantastic variety of beers, cocktails, and ciders. Austin provided excellent suggestions for drinks and gluten-free food options.

We were visiting our daughter and wanted a quick bite to eat. After reading some reviews, we decided to try Hopcat. Since it was in a college town, we weren't sure about the service, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and seated quickly. It was shift change, but the staff made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. We tried the chicken tacos, mac and cheese with bacon, cosmik fries, and pretzel bites, and they all hit the spot. The parking was easy and only cost us $2 in the connected parking structure. We highly recommend this restaurant!

The Nashville chicken dish lacked any substantial amount of chicken and instead tasted like a pork rind sandwich. After taking one bite, I returned it for a refund. However, the fries were enjoyable. Despite not being given any reason to return, I likely will not be back. Additionally, I was promised a refund but it was never issued to my card, which was disappointing.

Bryan set us up perfectly for our rehearsal dinner upstairs. He communicated with us quickly and guided us along as to what we?d need and what he recommended. We couldn?t have asked for a better experience! Food was fresh, hot and the entire crew (40+people) loved it. Highly recommend the taco bar and crack fries setup. 10/10. Our service was outstanding. We had our ownpersonal bar setup and servers helping our guests. I highly recommend hosting an event upstairs. We?ll be back. Thank you Bryanand Hopcat staff for the great experience and making our wedding weekend a breeze.

First time going to hop cat. Phenomenal service. I got to get my own refill after 20 minutes of being there. We got to see our waiter who's eyes were pegged about 3 times in an hour and a half. There were some sweet decorations of broken glass that ourkids spotted along with our broken water glass. The food was great after an hour of being there, warm at best!
