Las Maracas - East Jordan

I wouldn't recommend it. The food was just okay, the service was lacking, and they charged extra for chips and salsa. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.

Needs more staff for the size of the restaurant. We waited over an hour and then left since, according to the only server, the food hadn't even started cooking. It would have been nice to have been informed before ordering that there would be an insane wait for food.We drove pretty far for this place as the food has been great in the past, but I'll be hesitant to return again after this.

As for the food, it was just okay. The chimichanga was good, the fajitas were average, and the salads were small but tasty. However, the grilled Mexican salad was misleading; it came with cold meat that tasted like leftover fajitas from the night before and hardly resembled chicken, plus there was no dressing. When I asked the wait staff for dressing, she just shrugged. To her credit, the waitress was the only one working and was handling everything—the entire restaurant, patio, bar, and cashier—so I commend her for her effort. We appreciated her hard work and understood her lack of cheerfulness in light of the circumstances.

I've had good experiences with the food in the past, so we decided to take three friends out to dinner there. However, when we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, with just a few people at the bar. We waited for 10 minutes without receiving any chips and salsa or menus. Frustrated, we left and headed next door to The Foundry. There, we were served immediately, and the food was great.

Pork tacos were not edible. I couldn't finish my mail and my partner did finish his but then ended up being very sick for the next day and a half. I can't be certain that it was from this restaurant's food but it certainly seemed like it but that's all I could think about when he was sick but usually in the gates what's making you sick. I will not be going back. This was a second time I went there. The first time I was pleased but this time I was very not please.
