I normally do not shop at this store because it is out of my way. Last night i walked in to get a few drinks and a tobacco product. The Spanish lady asked for my i.d. so of course i agreed. i had simply asked her if i needed to take it out of its see through case and she respectfully declined. For some odd reason the white woman with dyed black hair stared me down and said you know, i think people who ask to take out their ids are jerks, truthfully. I pretended not to hear her and walked out, but as soon as i left, i just wanted to tear her a new ear! At the Hess sometimes, they make me take it out AND they scan it, because i look younger to certain people. So its not my business to know every stores policy on being id 'ed. I should be able to ask a simple question without being talked down to. I was having a wonderful day until i came across her, she truthfully ruined my evening. Believe me, i am going back today to get that woman fired for being rude to me without a just cause, or else i will never be shopping there again!
I noticed that the last item she had arranged was significantly more expensive than it had been just two days prior. Not wanting to create a scene, I asked her about my receipt, but she handed me one that didn't list the items. When I requested a detailed receipt, she seemed confused and didn't understand my request. I waited patiently while she asked an older woman for assistance. Unfortunately, the older employee just glanced at me and turned away with a frown. When I approached the older lady, I hoped for a clearer response, but then I asked to speak with the manager. Her reaction was dismissive, stating they were busy and that the manager was occupied. The younger employee even waved her hand at me in a manner that many would consider quite rude. Feeling frustrated, I decided to wait for the manager. When he finally came over, he was very polite and seemed to grasp the situation. He explained that the young lady had moved on to serve other customers, which was why she couldn't provide the receipt. I understand that it can be challenging to find good help, but hiring rude individuals who struggle with English is problematic. Is it really too much to ask for a receipt when I think I’ve been overcharged? What’s happening here isn’t acceptable. I truly love this place, and I don’t want to stop coming, but it's essential that management pays closer attention to customer service and the competence of the cashiers. The young lady appeared completely unsure of what she was doing, which only added to the confusion.
Great place, really close to where I lived, the breakfast sandwiches are great. The lines are usually a little long in the morning, but its completely worth it
The biggest bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich in history!
