The Natural Apothecary Health Food Shop And Cafe

The service at this restaurant was terrible. The waiter was rude and the food came cold even though I specifically asked for it to be hot. I felt like a joke, not a valued customer. I would have been better off going to Tesco for a meal.

The waiter was impolite and the food took a long time to arrive and was not up to par. I personally would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

During this period of high cost of living, I would suggest avoiding this restaurant. The prices are too high, the portions are small, and the quality is poor. I will not be coming back and I am disappointed in the experience.

We were very pleased with the food we ordered. It was plentiful, tasty and nutritious but we were not pleased with the surroundings or some of the staff. Although the surroundings have changed little over the years the cafe now allow dogs , which to some non dog owners is a negative, and when we arrived we were offered a table very close to a couple with two dogs and the dogs were sitting in seats which would have been far too close to us. We declined. IF dog owners must bring their pets everywhere surely the animal must be made to sit on the floor under the table. I would not be happy sitting on a seat newly vacated by dogs ,for obvious reasons as well as matters of hygiene. This brings me to my second point, the aforementioned dog owners clearly knew the management and they were all buddy , buddy thus the staff allowed them to have their dogs on seats. Also, when a young woman came in a member of staff gave this lady a prolonged hug and others crowded around chatting, blocking the doorway and with their backs to customers. Surely , whatever the relationship, it should be enacted behind the scenes? We were made to feel as if were irrelevant.

Fabulous brunch or lunchtime cafe with amazing coffee and drinks located at the war memorial end of the high street. 3 salads lunches especially good. Staff are v friendly and food quality v good Yesterday we saw a notice that they are now doing some evening openings too. Worth a look.
