It was during lunchtime and despite the limited options available (breakfast stops at 11:30am), I thought the demand could be easily met. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Even with only three-quarters of tables occupied, my first meal choice was unavailable due to a shortage of potatoes. I had to choose another dish, only to wait twenty minutes before being informed that an ingredient for that dish was also missing. This level of service was unacceptable to me, and I ultimately left the restaurant after receiving a refund for the inconvenience. I was not the only dissatisfied customer, and improvements are needed in order to enhance the service at this establishment.
This restaurant is a convenient stop for travelers along the A3 highway. Located just a short distance from the dual carriageway within a garden center, the cafe offers outside seating in both the front and back. Despite its small size, the cafe serves freshly prepared food at reasonable prices. With a laid-back atmosphere, it's a great spot to meet up for a light lunch or simply enjoy coffee and cake. The garden center itself may not be worth a visit, but the cafe is definitely a hidden gem.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the prices were affordable, and the service was friendly. It's conveniently located just off the A3 on the way from London to Portsmouth, after the Liss roundabout. I was surprised that it wasn't more crowded because they truly deserve more customers. This cafe offers great value for money.
Took my grown up family (6 of us) to this lovely little cafe, when the snow came, for breakfast. Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked to perfection , great coffee and one of the best eggs benedict I’ve had (good job Angela). Lovely friendly staff (Max) and since then we have made it a regular. My daughter couldn’t resist the lemon meringue pie to take home. Well done!
The lady operating the till on the day we visited seemed out of her depth. She had to continually have help from her colleague who was preparing food. For this reason a long Q developed at the till and some people near the back of the Q got fed up and left. the windows in the cafe were dripping with condensation which made lunch rather a humid affair and some ventilation would have been welcome. However, the food was delicious and cancelled out some of the negatives, but not enough for me to plan a second visit. Such a shame, as garden centre cafes are a must for us!
