Carriage House - East Greenville

Wow. I returned to the Carpentry after getting married here 10 years ago and they are still exceptional. There is always something special and cooked to perfection. I had the branzino with krab - possibly the best fish dish I have ever had, and a French pear martini - delicious.

Incredible! We recently held our reception here and everything was fantastic! The staff is attentive, the food is delicious, and they went above and beyond! Highly recommend The Carriage House time and time again!

Our server was excellent and the restaurant is cozy and inviting. The drinks were good, but unfortunately, the quality of the food went downhill from there. The oysters in the Carriage House Oyster dish were not properly cooked and the spinach and speck were poorly presented and tasteless. The salad was spoiled and brown, a clear sign of lack of quality control in the kitchen. The main course was disappointing, with the meat being fatty and tasteless, the beans untrimmed, long, and cold. Overall, the lack of attention to detail in the kitchen was evident and I would not recommend dining here. I have had much better experiences at other establishments like Kimberton Inn or Landis Store Hotel. Save your time and money and dine elsewhere.

The Carriage House is an ethereal mix of elegant fine dining with a warm family welcome home feeling to it. It is truly rare to find such a place. I have been here many times with my uncle, who will not go out anywhere else locally for his birthday. It is easy to understand why he feels so passionately about this place though, after you realize that there is nothing you can order on this menu that is not INCREDIBLE! Every dish I have had over the years here is fresh, delicious, made with love, and exquisitely detailed not only in presentation, also in flavor. There are unique local cuisines as well as more rare International dishes that are sometimes offered as specials. The atmosphere is relaxing, you can come dressed formally or casually, as you prefer. The bar is also in need of high praise, the drinks are consistently excellent and strong. The perfect pomegranate martini can be found here! I highly recommend this restaurant for family dinners, gatherings of friends, and/or for a romantic date night. My favorite dinner is the crab imperial, though everything is truly amazing.
