The Fish House Ely

A great spot to either eat indoors or outdoors. Very tasty and hot and great with a chilled bottle of coke. The fish house is so conveniently located as it is right in the city square, perfect for having a break from enjoying the market stalls and all the shops.

The best fish and chip shop ive ever been to eat in or outside cant get any better than that the place is so clean staff are as good

"The chips at this restaurant are really good. We come here once a week for chips, battered sausages, and crispy bits. The staff are friendly and the location is convenient. The service is fast and the restaurant looks clean. Sometimes we also choose to sit in, and the service is very fast and efficient."

I visited a fish and chip shop yesterday and ordered a large cod and half portion of chips, as well as sausage and chips. Thankfully, I had my glasses on because the fish was small and quite expensive. I'm not sure if it was actually cod, as it didn't taste like it to me, but it was a white fish that was very dry at one end. The sausage was different than what I remember, more like a chipolata. The portion size of the chips seemed smaller than before, leading me to wonder if they are now measured out. The service was not very friendly, and the elderly lady working there seemed rather sour.

We ordered, sat down at a lovely table and our food arrived shortly after,freshly cooked. Delicious crisp fish,battered lightly and loads of chips. A great cup of tea to go with it. Would recommended absolutely. The prawns and squid were delist too. There is an outdoor courtyard at the rear to eat too.
