The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was nice and clean. The restaurant had a beautiful view and the food was great. Couldn’t be happier with our stay. We’ll definitely go back.
The vibe from all staff is so welcoming and friendly. Bar staff are excellent. We bought starters for grankids. Southern fried chicken and Asian salad amazing. So huge and great value. Loved our mains. Beautiful venue. Booked on the deck. Kids loved walking the board walk around restaurant checking for fish.
When today for lunch to celebrate Father-in-laws birthday. Arrived early to beat the rush. We had a drink first while deciding what to order. Pretty standard Bunbury prices for beers. $11 a pint. Sorry guys the boom is OVER. Ordered our food before the restaurant filled up. People around us were getting their food. We had no food, kids were getting restless. Our glasses were cleared by waitstaff. There was no "How are things going?" We thought it was perhaps because there were 10 of us that the food could be taking longer. Finally, almost an hour later I asked at the bar about our order. Ooops, sorry your order wasn't sent the the kitchen, but we'll put your first in queue. When our glasses were cleared once again, It was suggested to the waiter that maybe a drink (nothing special - couple of beers and a glass of wine - certainly not espresso martini's) would be nice in lieu of waiting so long for our meal. "I'll check with the manager" Didn't see him for dust. Finally our meals arrived followed by some complimentary squid. Ummm, our food is here now, don't really need your sorry food.I don't normally write bad reviews, accidents happen and people make mistakes. It's how you handle the situation in the aftermath the matters. We won't be racing back and certainly will not be recommending The Parade to friends. Have to say also that the meal prices are expensive for what is essentially pub grub. I love pub grub, but $33 for whiting and chips is just crazy. I work in the customer service industry, I worked for almost an hour this week just to pay for some lukewarm pasta, served late. Do I want to repeat this experience? No, thanks.
Very switched on waiters and bar attendants when we visited. Meet and greet was quick, professional and informative. Food service was quick and also switched on as they knew straight away when I was placing my order we were sitting at a table that had been booked. Went for lunch on a Saturday. You need to book as it appears to be very popular since reopening. They have an extensive menu. Ordered basic beer battered fish and chips. Came with a generous fresh salad and a tartare which was delicious. Chips were great and fish, possibly flake, came with beautifully cooked light batter and a generous serve. At $26 a plate was good value for a sit down meal. Venue overlooked the water so pleasant outlook. Only downside was it was quite noisy but it is a pub at the end of the day.
