Smokey's Pub N' Grill - East Bethel

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, particularly the ribs. However, the chicken was a bit dry. The coleslaw and beans were just okay; I would prefer to have fries instead. One area that really needs improvement is the service—it's consistently slow and rather chaotic. This issue seems to have started after the COVID pandemic, and they also no longer serve breakfast. I'm hopeful that things will continue to improve!

I ordered the Ultimate Burger, while the kids enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger, and my wife had the brisket cheesesteak. The buns were perfectly toasted, just as they should be for any sandwich! Everything was absolutely delicious! If you enjoy crispy bacon, it's a good idea to specify that when placing your order, as it was the only item we had to ask for again. A big thank you to our server, Mitch, and it was nice that JT, the co-owner, stopped by our table twice to hear our feedback. We definitely plan to return! I didn't get a chance to try the ribs, but I'm looking forward to it. Thanks again, Mitch and JT! By the way, the parking lot was full the entire time we were there, which speaks volumes!

Smokey’s serves up some fantastic BBQ. As soon as you walk in, the enticing aroma immediately immerses you in the experience. If you weren't feeling particularly hungry before, the smell is sure to whet your appetite while you wait to be seated. Our group of four was promptly seated for an early dinner on Thursday evening. After enjoying a couple of beers from their excellent tap selection, we explored the menu and found something to please everyone. I opted for the Beef Brisket platter and was thoroughly satisfied. With six different sauces available at each table, it was hard to resist trying them all. As a southerner, I looked for some of my favorite dishes but didn’t find them. Nonetheless, there were still plenty of great options, and I thought the beans were particularly excellent. I would be more than happy to return, and I likely will!

This is an update on a 5 year old review. Our little community is blessed with one of the best BBQ joints in the state. Today's visit proved that the best could get better. Our server was a big part of making today stand out. Time for a good nap.

Great location for BBQ! Smokey's has a great selection of BBQ from beef, pork, and chicken. I highly recommend getting the ribs, and the platters are easily the best deal, giving you plenty of variety for sampling all the options. The BBQ sauce is amazing, and they give you a ton of options from sweet, spicy, and smoky. The appetizers are great, too. You can easily get filled up with all the great options if you want to appetizers and drinks. There are plenty of specialty drinks and plenty on tap.
