42 North Brewing Company - EAST AURORA

Ok, the brewery is beautiful inside, with lots of room and a couple of private rooms as well. My guest and I had a flight and decided hazy IPA is the winner and will likely return in the near future. The downside well the counter clerk NEVER looked us in the eye when placing our order, we did not feel very welcome. Not sure why, we look normal, not one tattoo or earring.

We had our WNY Beer Trail Pass and happened to be in E. Aurora, so we stopped in. We have been here before and have always enjoyed ourselves. The food is good with a Fat Bob's Smokehouse on premise. They have a decent selection of beers (not all on tap). The patio is nice especially if you have a larger group. Pricing is competitive. Always a must stop for us if we are in the area!

Went in today with my sister, brother in law and my two kids. One is 2.5 and the other 5 months. We came in shortly after they opened so maybe around 12:30/1:00. There was barely anyone in the place, it was quiet. We sat at a table next to another family with a toddler because it was a low rise table. The table was directly diagonal from the register where you can order food and drinks. The food, drinks and service were great from all of the employees except for the manager “Fred” if that is actually his name. He abruptly and rudely shouted towards myself and the other family, all while never making eye contact with us ONCE, because our kids were rolling cars on a metal chair. While I am 100% completely okay with my kid being told “no” or her having to follow rules, it’s how he went about it, and how he said it. He was completely rude, loud and out of line. The kids were being watched. They weren’t loud or bothering anyone as no one was around us. It is not what he said, it is HOW he said it. He would be and will be the sole reason I would never come back. His entire demeanor was off. He ruined the mood completely, and you could feel how uncomfortable it was with how he acted. He was out of line and his demeanor was uncalled for. If he would have spoken like an adult, it would have not even been a problem.. I’m sorry for the owners because you have a beautiful brewery, and the rest of the staff was wonderful.

I have seen many people complain about the service, but personally, I did not experience any issues. During my visit, everyone was friendly and the service was prompt. The only issue I had was when I got up to use the bathroom and returned to find my table cleared, but they quickly refilled my drink for free, which I thought was great service. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious, with a BBQ community attached to it (which I found to be delicious). The beer was good, but the standout was definitely the food selection.
