We used Piccolinos for a large group event. They were EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING with menu and style. They allowed us to do the lunch in whichever format we wanted. We ended up with additional guests and they cheerfully worked them in as well. Not only that, they threw in free desert for all 35 of us. They went above and beyond our expectations, price and food was amazing. We will certainly use them again.
Homey, inviting, pleasant aroma of yeast bread baking. Service was very good, food was even better. We were surprised with the amount of sopapillas, so many and a lovely presentation, not overly sweet, either. The coffee was flavorful, too. I will be dining here again.
Shortly after the 11/30 earthquake, my husband and I connected with Tara to arrange our son's Groom's Dinner. While much of the community was still in a jumble, we wanted to have the celebration in our hometown. Tara was WONDERFUL to work with and had ideas and suggestions that were very helpful to us. When we arrived with our party of 35 or so our number kept adjusting up and down Tara had the room set for us and ready to go. Our dinner was AMAZING and our guests both local and from out of town loved the food she made. Thank you, Tara. We'll recommend you to anyone! Five STARS!
This restaurant must have had much better days to have two sites in AK. I am a five-year-old resident (2018) of the Eagle River and tried this restaurant three times due to limited opportunities in the city. Although food is pleasant to the eye, food is not pleasant in taste, freshness, quality or texture. To be an Italian Greek restaurant, one would expect homemade gros or spanakopita... but instead you will get frozen heated precut Balkan meat and a toaster strudel-sized spinach heated directly from the freezer (I guess). And the two simple pasta dishes that received the bread were worse than the heated Greek dishes. This restaurant is worse than AKay (AKay just OK typical AK departure)! This place is a passport. However, there is a new charming Greek dining option in Eagle River with homemade unheated frozen food (sorry, won't name here... it's near the subway).
