Chepo 's Mexican - Eagle River

I had the spinach enchiladas but there was too much spinach for my taste so you couldn’t taste any cheese or sauce or even the tortilla. I felt like I just had spinach for dinner. Chips, salsa, beans and rice were excellent. The restaurant was packed but we were seated quickly and service was very quick.

Who would have thought that you could find a good Mexican food restaurant in Alaska!? It was great! I had the Chicken Avocado salad. Taco salad is my usual, but glad that I made that choice. Good food and good service. My husband and I would both recommend it.

So staff was very nice and service really fast, but the food was very disappointing . I ordered Carne asada tacos, which only came with two. There was no seasoning on the meat, one of my corn tortillas was soggy from the meat that it fell apart. Then I got the taquitos were just ok, but there again no spices on the chicken, so honestly won't be going back, but I will say it was clean, very nice and friendly staff and good atmosphere

Food is good for Eagle River, there is not much of a selection in this town. Margaritas were excellent. I think next time I will drive to Anchorage and go to be on the border. They have much better food. Prices are better too.
