The Waterspa was equally relaxing with a indoor Caribbean ambience albeit with jazz music played in the background. We did massages and were originally told upon phone booking that to use the Waterspa aka "indoor pool" either before or after massage would cost us $30/pp to use the Waterspa. ok, I advise the call taker, Le Scandinave Spa allows you to use their outdoor water facilities free if a treatment is booked! I don't know if something was said to any other staff following our conversation however we didn't get charged $60! That's appreciated and appropriate after paying $237 for massage treatments. We weren't guests of the Inn however I could see if you were not a guest however wanted to just use the indoor pool then charging a nominal (not 30/pp) fee for use would be appropriate. Charging to use them after paying for spa services would've been outrageous. Now for dinner, two seatings 6pm & 8pm. Adult only resort. Beautiful dining room and very kind staff. The GM - Fernando came over to our table to say hello. Dining is very intimate. Small area off of the front porch with a nice view of Eagle Lake. Prix Fixed menu $55/pp. we think that was very reasonable. 1 appetizer, I entree and 1 dessert/ pp. When we told cottagers in the area, prior to going to dinner how much it was they were shocked and thought it was expensive. It's not! It's about the same price if you went to any keg. The food was exceptionally good. So much flavour infused that no salt or pepper were required. The chef must be a professional. We hadn't had food that good since our wedding and we had our wedding at Cave Spring winery. They had 4 apps to chose from, 4 entrees to choose from and 3 dessert options to choose from. Each one as fabulous as the next! There is a wine room at the bottom of the spiral staircase. Very unique! Prices aren't too bad. Again, on par with other places. You can get wine by the glass. If you're able to check this place out it is well worth every penny!
Centre Pompidou is one of the many famous museums in Paris.
Beautiful decor ambiance in this yr old room. We had appetizers, duck lamb main courses desserts. Food was world class as good as it gets presented like Art. A true gourmet experience. Waitress was lovely and extremely accommodating. Wine...cellar very interesting. This restaurant is a true gem.
My wife and I own a cottage in the area for many years now so we decided to have a lunch date at Sir Sams for the first time (we did not stay there we just had lunch). We arrived on a Thursday in September...and I do understand that it is the off season however it's still a resort. When we arrived we walked in and walked towards the back of the building which took us into a dingy bar area, I asked the guy behind the bar if there was anywhere else to sit and he suggested the outdoor patio which was a nice change from the bar area. When he came out I asked him for a menu and he told me that he didn't have a menu and that we had choices, it was either fish and chips or our choice of a chicken, beef or veggie sandwich. My wife and I both looked at each other in disbelief and disappointingly ordered veggie sandwiches and my wife order a ginger ale and I had a water. As we were sitting on the patio enjoying the view of the lake employees came around, one with a weed whacker and the other had a leaf blower so we couldn't even carry on a conversation. Needless to say we ate our inch diameter sandwiches as quickly as possible just to get out of there. I went in to pay and the lunch came to with the tax, a little steep for what we got considering the portion size and the lack of selection. Nonetheless I can't see myself ever returning here for a meal, what a true disappointment.
It was the Saturday of the Canada Day long weekend and I came to Twin Fires for dinner. My party of three and I made a reservation in anticipation of some crowds and were pleased with our meals. I ordered the Confit Duck Leg and...Quebec Duck Sausage which was cooked to perfection. The duck leg was tender and well-seasoned, whilst the sausage had an amazing smokey flavour to it. Despite them both being from the same cut of meat, each had it's own flavour profiling that added to the entirety of the entree. Accompanying were roasted red potatoes, asparagus and carrots, which were served with a spiced prune and rhubarb sauce. All aspects of the dish played their own part in making it delicious. Compliments to Chef Dave! All of the ingredients used were fresh and locally sourced (for the most part) which is a huge plus considering the restaurant's locale. There are few items on the menu which also speaks to the quality of the food you will receive. The service I received was excellent as well, everyone being pleasant throughout its entirety. This is a place you need to eat at whenever you're in the Eagle Lake region as it gives the bougiest of downtown Toronto fine dining restaurants a run for their money without the super high price tag and crowded dining spaces!
