Honestly, here’s why it will be the last time. 1) The place was filthy starting with the bird poop all around the outside entry.. The doorways were smudged with greasy hand prints. Once inside the ceiling and heating vents were blackened with dirt, grime and stains. The soda/water dispenser area was dirty and the straw dispenser had crusted-on grime. It was obvious that no one had conscientiously wiped down the place in months or years. There were cardboard boxes and what I assumed to be supplies littered and tucked all over the place. I can’t say much about the women’s bathroom but the men’s bathroom was gross. Some flies attempted to land on our pizzas and we had to shoo them away. 2) The tables were the same ones I’ve sat at for the last 35+ years except now they’re loose, worn, dilapidated… and crusty. 3) The AC was blowing seriously freezing air and the children running the place couldn’t seem to turn it down or off upon our request. Perhaps it was a way of keeping patrons away. 4) All the beer taps had paper cups covering them that read, “OUT.” Upon inquiry the kid behind the bar said, “There’s no one here of age to serve the beer.” 5) Other than taking our order and bringing 4 large pizzas to our tables $156 just in pizzas) there was zero service. We had to fetch our own plates, straws, silverware, left over boxes, etc. I now suspect the children workers were suffering from hypothermia. The presence of a responsible adult supervisor was clearly missing. The presence of a responsible kid supervisor was also missing. 6) The pizzas were moderately tasty but were overshadowed by the filth and disorganization of the place. The salad bar looked good. 7) For those of you who once enjoyed Beef and Onion pizza it is now not available at this place. 8) One might logically ask, Why’d you stay? One of our party members was elderly. Once we arrived and figured out our unassisted seating the place was not busy and was nearly empty) it would have been difficult for her to relocate. We were barred from the empty back room because it was apparently reserved but no one ever showed up there during our visit. In hindsight we definitely should have left. South Perry Pizza or Republic Pi are on the South Hill and would have been far better choices even if we had to wait. The experience here was sub-subpar and dismal.
I have ordered from round table pizza for many years and I am always happy with the pizza— while it is quite a bit more expensive than its competitors the quality is worth it. However, today I was extremely disappointed with the pizza and the customer service. We spent $30 on one medium pizza and there is literally no crust and the pizza dough is chewy, undercooked with a rock hard bottom, and thin (we ordered original crust). I called to ask what happened or if they accidentally made thin crust and was told by Dylan that the sough has been coming out flat lately and that he is sorry— while I do appreciate his apology that doesn’t really fix my pizza. He did not offer a discount or a replacement.
Great pizza! The salad bar was a plus too! The old arcade games aren't attractive tho
Salad Bar had outdated lettuce. Toppings were very soft and dated with a bad smell. We asked for a refund to be treated disrespectful by the short haired female employee who had lettuce and hair caught up in her nose ring! The pizza was burnt and had minimal toppings...This place has went down hill over the years unfortunately we will never return. Advice to ownership: Clean up your employees and the make the place great again...
The salad bar is fantastic with great variety, and different dressings. If you love blue cheese dressing, it is one of the very best. The Pizza is also the most delicious I have ever had, and service is also good.
