Egg rolls are the only reason for the 4 stars...super greasy I couldn't even bear through it. Otherwise the decorations were on point and the specialty drink The Green Dragon is well worth the $10!
I had dinner there and took home enough food to have two more meals in my hotel room. Unfortunately, they didn't offer hot and sour soup in individual sized servings, so even though I ate it at three meals, I ended up having to throw some away. Parking: I had an early dinner on a Thursday evening, so the place was not busy. When it is busy, one might have to park on the adjacency side street.
I ordered egg foo Yung, my favorite!, with the combo chow mein, and subbed a spring roll for the fried rice. Their spring roll does not utilize the usual spring roll wrapper, but instead uses an egg roll wrapper and uses only veggies, no meat, which equates to their spring roll. While it was excessively oily, it WAS DELICIOUS! The egg foo Yung needed soy sauce, unsurprising. The chow mein...OH EMMY GEE!!!! Was phenomenal The flavor combined with the noodles, veg and beef IS what beats even my utmost favorite Chinese restaurant in town, and has forever converted me to Peking North. I truly look forward to my next visit and exploring their menu further!!!
The food was good. The noodles in the combo chow mein were...off. I feel like it was a vermicelli or angel hair pasta and just wasn't great. But the flavor was amazing. The gravy on the almond chicken and egg foo yung was a smidge off. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe too much soy sauce or something. But the meat!! I had sweet and sour pork and almond chicken. The meat was tender and not overcooked at all. So impressed by that. And the egg foo yung patty, despite the gravy, was so fresh and flavorful. Also wasn't a big fan of the fried rice. Again, it seemed a little over flavored with possibly soy sauce. I would still go back but maybe avoid the chow mein and rice. Wheelchair accessibility: It's a flat walk in style building
The last 2 times we ordered the special chow mein the beef was raw it was disgusting and a turn off I couldn't not eat it I threw it away and now it's happened twice and I'm saying something Parking: Only one handicap spot next to the door maybe 2
