The Dog House - Durham

This is an excellent local restaurant. The hot dogs and BBQ are delicious, and the fried apple turnovers remind me of the classic McDonald's turnovers—crispy and delightful. The staff is very friendly as well. I highly recommend it for a quick lunch! Food rating: 5/5.

The chicken salad sandwich was excellent. This location doesn't serve burgers, but the staff was very friendly and the service was quite fast. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5.

The experience was disappointing. Our order was incorrect, and the hot dog bun and chili were particularly underwhelming. The chili lacked the flavor I remember from previous visits. Additionally, the wait time was excessively long. Overall, I would rate the food 2 out of 5.

Had not been to the dog house in years, but was in a hot dog mood. Ordered an Ol Yallow cheese, mustard, bacon bits), and a Bulldog chili, onion, slaw, mustard). It was terrible! The bacon bits were the hard, crunchy IMITATION bits that are sometimes used on salads. Onion was very strong and the slaw had a weird aftertaste. Not at all the way I remembered it from years ago. Will not be going back.
