You also loved getting half-acid pickles while waiting for your food. Food and service was good. Would recommend it to others!
We dined on a busy Saturday night and were seated at the bar as we did not want to wait the 30 minutes for a table. The woman at the front as well as the waitstaff attending to their tables were very friendly and were definitely rushing to keep up with the demand. The bartenders paid more attention to the regular customers, which was a bit disappointing but luckily they had enough staff to makeup for it. The food was fairly priced and was tasty. A limited cocktail menu but the bartender did look up a few drinks on google to make for us. Our steaks were perfectly cooked, and the sides were flavorful and a good portion. The only thing that ruined this night was the manager, which is why this is a two star review. I understand the pressure of a busy Saturday night, I understand what the pandemic has done to dining experiences, what I do not understand is the need to be rude and condescending to your staff in front of your guests. He was rude and arrogant to the woman who was running the front check-in and, as no one was greeting guests while that was happening, another woman came to seat people which was absolutely the wrong thing to do. It was embarrassing to sit there and watch that happen and should not have happened where the public could see it. It ruined the experience for us and I would not bring my money back in the future.
Made a reservation here last night for 25ppl. It turned out to be a little less than 25. It was no problem! They accommodated us. Mostly everyone ordered a burger. It was delicious !Our server Maggie was awesome! She refilled drinks in a timely manner, checked on us often, and collected dishes off table. She is the best server!! Thank you for an amazing 1st time experience
Cindy and Mike @runnersthoughts) took me on my first trip to the edge of Durham to visit Ted’s Montana Grill one of their favourite local spots. They come here a lot midweek, it was like being greeted by family as we walked in, and the lovely Carmen, who knew them by name, guided us towards the bar and the food.
I'm not exactly sure why I feel like Ted's Montana Grill is the best burger restaurant in the Triangle that very few people know about. Maybe because it is? Or at least it certainly seems to be. I'm torn between recommending it to everyone I know and keeping it a secret for myself and those who also frequent the place. While I'm happy that I almost never experience a wait for a table, I'm simultaneously astonished that the place isn't jammed pack nearly every night. It does well don't get me wrong... it's just surprising that it doesn't have the continuous lines out the door like PF Changs, Maggiano's and other restaurants in the area.<br/ <br/ The bottom line is that Ted's has great burgers and food, with excellent service in a very nice and comfortable setting. Get the broccoli as a side, and you won't be disappointed.
