Oval Park Grille - Durham

The experience was fantastic! The service was quick, enjoyable, and friendly. However, the mixed drinks were disappointing—they certainly could be improved. The more expensive chardonnay was average at best. The beer selection was pretty standard for a restaurant.

Frequent visits to this restaurant will never disappoint. They offer a wide range of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Steve, the bartender, is fantastic and really knows his craft. It's a wonderful casual spot to visit, especially when it's not too crowded.

Nawal Park was an excellent choice for a last-minute dining option on Saturday. The food and atmosphere were impressive, and we will definitely be returning. However, our waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed; I’m not sure how many tables he was managing. When we had questions about the menu, he didn’t seem eager to help and often asked if he should come back later. I understand that servers can be busy, but as it was our first visit, we had several questions before placing our order. Despite this, the food was delicious and served at just the right pace. The portions were on the smaller side, so it may not be enough for those looking for a filling meal. However, if you’re interested in trying new dishes, the tapas here are fantastic—definitely worth a visit!

A group of friends met here with some never having been before. I thought we were in trouble when we learned, after sitting for a while with no service, that there was only one waiter for a busy Saturday night. After a rocky start, the bartender, Steve, jumped in and treated us like royalty! He ensured we were well cared for and told us of the restaurant mission and vision to keep things local and of quality. Everyone was impressed ! Thank you, Steve, for making this the best dining experience ever!

Our lunch was a great success. I thought it was just another neighborhood restaurant, but it is better than I expected. Good quality of ingredients and good execution. Will try dinner next time!
