Metro 8 Steakhouse - Durham

This was the sixth annual event celebrating my father's birthday, and it has become our annual tradition to have dinner at Metro 8. The food, the service, the libations, and the attention and venue are exceptional. Everyone was very pleased with their dinner entrees, and the personalized attention from the staff is very much appreciated. We also very much appreciated the ambiance in which diners are welcomed to stay as long as they would like and it makes the event all the more enjoyable and memorable. Looking forward to returning, and I am certain it will be several times between now and my father's next birthday ahead!

This is an unsung hero in Durham Steak Houses. The food is outstanding, the service quiet and competent, the wine a bargain on Wednesday night. Midweek it is accessible when other venues are overrun with theatre goers.

Overall a cozy place with great food and service. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I split the NY Strip. It was PHENOMENAL. He’s a self-proclaimed “food snob”, but said this was the best steak he’s ever had at a restaurant. The provoleta and chorizo appetizers were also very good. Service was great. Awesome restuarant for a date night!

Celebrated my and my wife’s birthdays last night with my son’s and wives. First time at Metro 8. We had a great time. Food was excellent—top shelf. Good selection of wine and spirits. Service was friendly, timely, and attentive. Overall 5 STAR in my estimation. Will be back to be sure! George Walker
