Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Tried the loaded hash brown casserole today and it did not disappoint! Also had Mama's pancake breakfast and chicken and dumplings. Overall, the food was delicious. The service was excellent and there was no wait time. Will definitely be returning!

My daughter, friend, and I dined at Cracker Barrel a few weeks ago (I know, late review!). I must say, making a reservation in advance is a must as this place gets busy until 8 o'clock! I wouldn't recommend going after 9 o'clock as there may be a long wait to be seated (I've experienced it before). Our server, Catlynn, was fantastic and our meals were all delicious. The prices were also reasonable ($48 for three of us). However, I do have a small critique. I ordered the Blueberry pancakes but was surprised to find them topped with Blueberry jelly. I had to remove 75% of it. Despite this, the pancakes were well-prepared and delicious. Also, I was surprised to see that the price of two discarded proteins was the same as two whole eggs - $2.99! All were friendly, especially our waitress. the food was delicious.

Overall my experience was pretty good. I'm gonna say I first ordered the steak medium and it came out pretty hard. I sent it back what I usually don't do and got a pretty medium rare steak. I also wanted to be on my own, and I didn't get that. Apart from that, the service was pretty good eating came extremely fast and it was delicious.

The staff could not have been more wonderful. I arrived a little before eight p.m. (after work) and wasn't sure what time they closed. The host cheerfully seated me and my waiter was polite and patient and couldn't have been more professional. I ordered breakfast (their best in my opinion) There were a couple of dishes in my breakfast that weren't perfection, but it was late and I know even the best cooks can only hold gravy and delicate biscuits for so long. I felt less guilty when two o the couples came much later than I. All in all...I was happy to be well cared for and..not for one second did I feel rushed by any of the staff!
