C&h Cafeteria - Durham

Another issue that bothered me was the young cashier, who was on her phone and made me wait for her to acknowledge me when it was time to pay. I found that to be quite rude and inconsiderate. Perhaps I visited on an off day, as others have raved about the food. Unfortunately, my experience was not up to par. I might give it another try when I'm back in the area.

The restaurant offers an excellent variety of dishes at affordable prices. I do wish they were open on Saturdays, but it's nice that they are available on Sundays. For vegetarians, there is an impressive array of vegetables to choose from, and I really enjoy the salad selection as well. Parking is convenient, with plenty of spaces right in front of the cafeteria.

I went last night to pick up take-out for my husband and me. There were at least 25 people in the take-out line. I approached the line because I've noticed they sometimes allow orders for two or fewer people. However, they told me that I had to go to the take-out line. Frustrated, I ended up leaving! It’s ridiculous that they don’t let you pick up your order, especially since there were only five people in that line!

Such a quaint cafeteria- spacious and clean. The food selection was varied and looked quite appetizing. The price for two of us, with a main entree, dessert and a drink, came to only $28. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and by the looks of it, so did the other patrons dining there. Lots of good, fresh, variety of food. Big portions. Lots of dessert choices. All employees on the serving line were very nice and helpful. Clean in the dining area.
