Benetis - Durham

This is a cozy Greek American cafe and restaurant. As my husband has a disability, my first consideration is always how the staff will treat him. We were seated at the table closest to the entrance, and a chair was taken away before he even had a chance to sit down and request its removal. However, the food was delicious and offered a nice variety.

This charming restaurant has a cozy, home-like atmosphere that brings to mind the Greek-run diners found in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. There's something about the experience that elevates the flavors, especially when the food is served on an oval plate.

We were looking for a late lunch and decided to have breakfast at Beneti's since we had skipped the morning meal. To our surprise, when we arrived, there were only about five other customers, which was unusual given how busy they usually are. This was a lucky break for us, as we didn’t have to wait long for our food. My wife chose the buffet, while I opted for the OMNI OMELETTE. I was skeptical about the picture of the omelette on the menu, but when it arrived, I was blown away. The first thought that popped into my mind was "Homerun," and not just any homerun, but an incredible one! They have more than ten varieties to choose from, so I’ll definitely be coming back soon. I wonder what my chances are of hitting ten out of ten on their menu? I’ll keep you posted. It’s a wonderful place with fantastic food, friendly people, and great prices.

Returned to a great breakfast at a favorite restaurant from a few years back. Good sized portions, friendly staff, great prices and flavorful food! Potatoes are my favorite!

Great food at a reasonable price. Open only until 2pm for breakfast and lunch. Wonderful lunch buffet!
