I ordered a quarter breast chicken tikka meal and added garlic naan on the side, opting for the Bombay Brech as well. I found it a bit odd that the waiter brought my meal, drinks, and garlic naan separately rather than all at once.
The service was fantastic and the ambiance beautiful. Chickentikka is truly one of the best in South Africa. I would highly recommend it to my friends and family!
This restaurant used to be fantastic. We arrived on a quiet evening, and the waitress took our order for four people and then disappeared. After 45 minutes and two follow-ups, our food finally arrived. I ordered the mixed grill plate, and while the chicken pieces were decent, I was supposed to receive both Tikka and Malai cubes, but there were no Malai pieces at all. I didn’t want to wait for them to fix it, so I just ate what I had. When I got to the main chicken piece, the Tikka breast, I was really let down. I had asked for it to be extra hot, but it was barely spicy at all—though the bottom was burnt to a crisp, so it definitely had some heat. I wasn't too concerned since I wasn’t the one hosting the meal, but the table next to us had been waiting for over an hour, and their frustration was quite clear. Overall, very disappointing.
Since I am a bit of a fast food critic, in my opinion it is not the best place to eat. I had the unpleasant experience of the owners who invite us for the removal containers. Customer service and hygiene should be at the highest point at any fast food outlet.
Unfortunately my experience of CHINESE chow mein from Kebabish overport was a disaster. What was delivered to me was definetly NOT chow mein. It was just a chicken noodle stir fry. If you open pictures you will see loads of black pepper, it was actually overpowering and so as the salt. The oil at the bottom of the takeout container was yellow as you can see, probably from the use of curry powder or tumeric but deninitely NOT from using SOY SAUCE which is the basic for chow mein. I needed a microscope to see the tiny pieces of chicken that were added in there, tell me if you can see them. Basically their chicken noodle dish was not even close to an authentic chow mein. This taught me that sometimes its better to just buy chinese food from a chinese restaurant, that way you know there are no chancers...
