Ciao Bella Cafe. - Durban

I arrived for a late lunch on a Saturday and decided to stray from the menu by requesting a seafood pizza, which wasn’t listed. To my delight, they quickly returned with a delicious pizza topped with large prawns and clams. It was absolutely fantastic—definitely the best I’ve had in Durban. Since it can be challenging to secure a table here, I recommend making a reservation to avoid disappointment.

This was truly wonderful! The food was delightful, and we stumbled upon a great gem. We enjoyed incredible coffee and tasty pasta. It was fantastic to see a restaurant like this in Durban.

Great food service and beautiful cafe situated in the harbour/waterfront area. The only downside was the aircon which was too cold but other than that I enjoyed it.

Tucked away behind the parking lot of uShaka Marine World is a hidden gem: a charming coffee kitchen nestled in a beautifully renovated architectural masterpiece. Ciao Bella is a contemporary, laid-back café set against the backdrop of an industrial-urban environment in the vibrant southern Durban area near the harbor. The nearby buildings feature stunning early 20th-century architecture, showcasing unique character despite their weathered appearance. Impressive street art adorns the walls around the side of the café, adding to its appeal. Although the menu was enticing, we only stopped in for a morning coffee, ordering a cappuccino and a flat white. The café proudly serves Illy Coffee.
