Asian Gourmet - Durant

In short, this is the best place to order food in Durant, even surpassing some of the traditional and larger establishments. Wu Ye and his family consistently prepare outstanding dishes. People flock here for the quality of the food. I've had hundreds of meals here and have never had a bad experience. It’s simply excellent.

I've only been here twice, but both times I've encountered poor customer service. Additionally, I think the food is overpriced. While I admit it tastes good, paying $27 for a meat dish and crab rangoons seems outrageous. On top of that, when I was there, it was uncomfortably hot, and the walls where we were seated looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while, which was off-putting.

I really enjoy dining at Asian Gourmet. Everything on the menu is delicious! I particularly love the soups and rolls. The service is quick and courteous, and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained. I visit frequently and always have a great experience.

My son and I stopped here on a road trip. The food and service were both excellent, portions were large, price was reasonable, and everything was very quick. They have a huge selection and really great lunch specials Monday through Friday through 3pm. (We were there on a Sunday, and after 3pm, so we paid full price, but it was still reasonable. The server (owner? came over to check on us and offer us refills on our waters. My son has requested that we stop there again next time we're going through Durant.

Although I'm not as big a fan of Chinese as I am Thai, this is certainly one of the better Chinese places I have experienced. Hot and spicy pork was fantastic, and the orange chicken was quite nice as well. Our waiter and the cook were also well equipped with excellent customer service and people skills.
