I love this place. it has been a local favorite for over 50 years! it is guided by the family griego and they are so wonderful. eating is excellent I love the green chili, burritos, salsa and tacos. you feel like a family when you're here!
Don't go expecting goumet dishes. That being said I find their food good, and prices quite reasonable compared to most. The Ala Cart menu is very cheap. They have burgers and Mexican food. Have not tried the burgers yet. Wait staff has been friendly both times I have dined here. They don't accept credit or debt cards so bring cash or plan on using thier ATM.
The food was quite bland and disappointing. I’m a fan of Chile relleno, but this one was so unappetizing that I could only manage two bites. I ordered the carnitas plate for my husband, and it was even worse—just a small portion of sad-looking meat accompanied by rice drenched in tomato sauce. We definitely overpaid for what we received. The only positive aspect of our visit was the pleasant staff.
Food was mediocre at best and over priced. It apparently is a cash only restaurant but there are no signs that indicate that. They direct you to their own ATM that has nearly a $4.00 fee. Had we known it was cash only we would have immediately left but they don’t tell you until it’s time to pay up. Sounds like some sort of scam to me.
