It's like a sports bar pizza joint and on a Friday night you'll see lots of young families as well as young singles and people on dates. It's a great place for anyone in any walk of life. They also have good crispy chicken wings and my coworkers and I also enjoy coming here for lunch from time to time. There's typically some sort of lunch special deal. It's usually pretty quiet and the service staff is attentive and polite. Their salad is the only area that is lacking. It's pretty good but not great. The 3 times I ordered salads, they weren't cold, but room temperature, and I ended up with an upset stomach. This is a great place to have a slice and a coke on a workday for lunch or enjoy an evening brew and some wings with friends and family.
Great pizza, real cheese, fresh ingredients and dough. Their salads are also great! Staff is very warm and inviting. This is coming from a New Yorker that has very discriminating taste when it comes to pizza. Will definitely visit again.
We've enjoyed several family meals here at this location. The pizza is great and the service is pretty efficient. We typically call ahead to place our order and then dine in since we have young toddlers and it makes the wait for the pizza to cook more tolerable. There are a number of booths and patio seating available. We've seen several small parties hosted here.
While I wouldn't say Galla's serves exceptional pizza, it's definitely worth a visit. They offer a variety of options and the ability to order slices, which is something you don't often find outside of Fellini's. I love experimenting with different slices to discover the perfect combination. For example, you might want to try a slice with sausage, jalapeño, and pineapple. If you prefer something more traditional, you can find that here too. And when you walk in, you'll be greeted with the delicious aroma of pizza and parmesan—it's wonderful. I've also sampled some items from their menu, including the wings and subs. While these are all solid choices, I found the lemon wings to be outstanding (especially if you enjoy that flavor)! They come out really crispy. Typically, I'm a fan of buffalo wings, but I have to say, these lemon wings are fantastic. I work just a block away at Northbrook, so it’s an easy stroll for me. At Galla's, you place your order at the counter, and the pizza comes out quickly. During busy lunch hours, it can get a little cramped in the front, which is similar to the experience at Fellini's, but it's manageable. I only visited in the evening once, and it was quite relaxed—an enjoyable spot to grab snacks and have a couple of drinks.
When I first experienced Buffalo, I went to try the beef on Kimmelweck. To start, Kimmelweck is a challenging part of the dish. It's not just your typical hard roll; rather, it has a unique texture and flavor that sets it apart...
