Dunwoody Tavern

Well, I 'll start off by saying, I did not like the food I ordered and neither did the person I was eating with. I ordered the fish tacos which came with the stalest steak fries I 've ever seen. After trying a couple of them, I knew I had to kindly let my waitress know and when I did, she agreed that they were old(under the lamp for too long) fries and she took them back to the kitchen and later came out with fresh ones. My fish in the tacos was cod. I guess I was expecting more flavor and I just wasn 't getting that flavor I was hoping for. I think it was the fact that the pico de gallo was a bit watery..lacking lime flavor. My friend ordered the shepherd 's pie and I noticed that the cheese on top was over cooked and hard..also, the portion was small. Immediately, we wished we had ordered the cheese steak or something like that which would have been hard to mess up. I did love the atmosphere of this pub. There were a few tables which had fire pits in the middle. That was very nice to see on such a fall night. The live acoustic music coming from the patio of another restaurant was very nice too. I 'm actually giving all three of the stars I rated this place with to the atmosphere. Our waitress was new, and seemed to be very busy and I couldn 't help but notice the help wanted sign on the window near the restaurant 's entrance. Nonetheless, though our waitress wasn 't totally knowledgeable about the menu, she was happy to help and answered questions to the best if her ability. All in all, I think I would go back to give this restaurant another try because the menu options were great..and I 'd love to sit at a table with the fire pit..and I 'm definitely ordering the cheese steak. lol

The staff here is distracted by each other like it's their clubhouse. Not much for professionalism so don't expect much. The building smells inside. Their bathroom paper towel machine was broken; I told several staff but they either didn't care or it was just to much of a task to figure it out on a slow night. The food was questionable. There was a staff dispute that customers got dragged into. This is place doesn't even try to be a British pub, it just uses the gimmic to get you in the door.

Hangs down, I had only the BEST Reuben Sandwich ever anywhere!!! Her soup of the day was a chili that was just as excellent. Lauren was our Rock Star server and glad it was. Surprising great food for a tavern with perfect service. Today was my first visit, but not my last one!

A little expensive for the food you get, but the great staff and the environment for this negative aspect. I'd definitely come back for a drink and a desert!

C'om's Simha now. The menu has been extended by not only Vietnamese, but also other cuisine, including Indian and Thai. Unfortunately, the service and food suffered. From our lunch party of 5 were 3 orders wrong. The service was serious, but the brand was completely missed. The menu items we have often ordered in the past seemed to be lacking in the execution and quality of the ingredients. The restaurant seems to focus on the lunch buffet instead. While the owners might win new customers, I don't think one of us (all long-term customers) returns.
