Seascapes - Dunfanaghy

We were then seated in a dreary side room with no windows, just a view of the kitchen doors swinging back and forth. The staff, although pleasant, were not always getting the orders right. The meal we received was far from the decent restaurant experience we were hoping for - instead, we were served basic and poorly executed pub food. The Pasta Carbonara, which should have had smoked bacon, garlic, parmesan, and eggs, was actually made with onions, mushrooms, cheese, and cream, a far cry from the authentic dish I had enjoyed in Italy. We were so disheartened by the whole experience that we simply finished our main course and left without even bothering to claim the 10% food discount offered for booking directly through the hotel. This was truly the most disappointing meal we had during our three weeks in Ireland.

We stopped by this restaurant after visiting Glenveigh Gardens around 5:00pm, which was a bit early for dinner. Despite the empty bar, we received quick service and enjoyed a tasty meal from a discounted menu. The hotel looks a bit tired, but there were a lot of people checking in for the Halloween weekend. Overall, the experience was pleasant and the food was well-prepared.

Six of us reserved a table for New Year's Eve. It was a very enjoyable evening. Once we were seated, we were given complimentary champagne and two plates of appetizers to share. I started with a seafood plate and had venison for my main course. Even though I am not a big fan of desserts, we were served a trio of desserts. The dining room had music provided by two Scottish gentlemen, which added to the overall experience. Everyone had a fantastic evening.

This restaurant is located inside Arnolds hotel. It was a nice comfortable, quiet place to have lunch in the busy little town of Dunfanaghy. My husband and I had the seafood chowder. It was plentiful and filling. It had a variety of seafood in a nice creamy base served with brown bread. The service was good. It was not very busy during the time we visited since it was a late lunch. The price was reasonable.

Nice place for drinks and spend time out. Absolutely fantastic .Can't wait for next visit !Probably soon we are making our appearance this place
