Tokyo House - Dunedin

The Salmon Nigiri and chicken Karaage were fantastic! The location is wonderful, and the service was friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious yet affordable food.

This is our go-to restaurant! We haven't tried anything else aside from the satay vegetables with extra tofu, which is our absolute favorite. I’m not sure how they make it so delicious—what's their secret recipe?

Initially, the service was somewhat unfriendly. I was simply handed the menu and informed that I needed to place my order and pay at the counter. If I recall correctly, I ordered the agedashi tofu and the pork katsu don. I say "if I recall" because the tofu didn’t quite look recognizable in the photo I took. Its exterior was hard and crusty, and it required quite a bit of sauce to enhance the flavor. The pork katsu don was a step up; the rice was decent, but the dish overall didn’t stand out as exceptional. On a positive note, the restaurant's interior was aesthetically pleasing, and the service did improve later on. However, the food remained just average.

Love Tokyo house! We go there at least once a week because the food is awesome. Everything on the menu is yum, especially the freshly made sushi and teriyaki beef. The meals always come out quick and good portion sizes. Take away is quick and easy too. 5 star for sure.
