Paasha Turkish Cafe - Dunedin

One of my favorite places for takeout and dining in. They are highly aware of coeliac needs, which is a big plus. The quality of the food is consistently great, and their variety of sauces is fantastic—my personal favorites are the tahini and the special sauce. My only suggestion would be to label the gluten-free options on the menu, but the staff is very helpful, and most items are gluten-free.

The staff here has a strong understanding of Celiac and gluten-free standards. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, and we enjoyed an excellent meal.

The staff greeted us warmly and promptly showed that they were knowledgeable about Coeliac Disease. Our kids loved the chicken, salad, and rice with sauces. Delicious!

A special thanks to our Kiwi waiter (who had a hint of a Canadian accent—he must be a traveler with some interesting stories). His service was impeccable. He politely apologized for the wait, but once the food arrived, he enthusiastically explained each dish to us. Truly, 5-star service! The food was anything but bland, bursting with great flavor and well-seasoned. The tabbouleh was incredibly fresh. I did think the pastry could have used some spinach, as it felt a bit too rich and creamy, but that's just me being picky. Overall, I would give this place a solid 5 stars and would return tomorrow if I lived in Dunedin. This is definitely a must-try, and all the staff were attentive and on point. The only downside was the wait time—around 40 to 50 minutes, which felt a bit long—but I’m just grateful we managed to get a table. Until next time!

Visiting from Auckland, the city of great food so I was delightfully impressed by the food here! I split the Paasha plate with my mum and we were sooo full. Great friendly service too. I would not hesitate to return next time I’m in Dunedin.
