The food was cooked perfectly and arrived quickly, hot, and smelling delicious. We enjoyed top quality local ingredients including tasty sausages, thick cut bacon, perfectly fried eggs, caramelized vine tomatoes, crumbly clonakilty black pudding, and thick slices of fresh sourdough toast. The mushrooms were flavorful and there was no grease in sight. The tea was brewed just right. The service was attentive and the owner even engaged in some enjoyable banter. The decor was simple and unassuming, allowing the fantastic food to shine. The menu had a variety of delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, including vegan choices that appealed to us meat-eaters. There were also lighter and healthier options available. We will definitely be returning soon. This place gets top marks!
My husband, our toddler, and I had a fantastic lunch at The Spotted Dog on Saturday. I tried the beetroot and walnut burger, while both my husband and toddler had the Dexter burger. They were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the carrot pickle on my veggie burger. I highly recommend this restaurant - it is a standout in Dundalk. As a vegetarian, I strongly recommend it to all my veggie friends. The menu offers a wonderful selection of dishes with a unique twist. Keep up the excellent work, Spotted Dog team!
I enjoyed a delicious beetroot and walnut burger, while the rest of my family ordered the fish and chips. We all loved our meals and found the staff to be extremely friendly. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this restaurant!
I visited this charming little restaurant that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. I decided to order the soup of the day, which was sweet potato and carrot, and I must say it was delicious. In conclusion, it's a lovely spot to relax and have a comforting lunch.
I went to the restaurant today and they had a good selection of vegan options, including soup, curry, mushrooms on sourdough, and roast aubergine. The staff were friendly and the interior was nice. I ordered the roast aubergine with black rice, which was not labeled as vegan but easily modified by omitting the yogurt. The dish was delicious, although the rice was a bit too oily for my liking. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area.
