Skrimp Shack - Dumfries

The food is absolutely good here, but the customer service is really garbage! If the food wasn't so great, I couldn't have come here a long time ago. The people who work behind the counter and answer the phones can definitely use a class or two on kindness and temperament skills, cause Whew! Anyway, I always order the Big Fish Sandwich and a Skrimps basket. The amount of fish you get on this sandwich is soooo worth the drama that comes with this place? Everything is always cooked for perfection, hot delivered and a drink fits the food well. To get everything to combo, it is an extra $4.50 if ordered separately. Condiments come in the bag, but you can also get extra out of the door.

The best fast food around. I love it that the fried fish and shrimp have the thinnest possible crispy breading. They hide the cocktail sauce under the food so be sure to look for it there.

A great place that offers a ton of food. Delicious sandwiches and fries. They don't skimp on food. Definitely the fattest fish sandwich in town. I had their whiting fish sandwich with regular fries and it was great.

Unprofessional! Ordered through DoorDash. My side wasn?t in the bag. My tacos were missing cheese and not enough shrimp. Mostly lettuce. I?ve ordered their tacos in the past; I?ve always had shrimp falling out of the taco. Not this time. Finally, when I called to let them know, I was told that?s how many shrimp usually come in the tacos. Tell that to someone who doesn?t order from you consistently. Even if it?s the same number, you know these shrimp are small. It looked like salad shrimp. The final straw for me was getting hung up on after I told her my husband was coming back to get my order redone! Taking them outbid the rotation! Look at the before and after pictures.

It was my first time at Skrimp Shack and definitely will not be the last time. We had the family order which includes catfish, shrimp, hushpuppies, fries, coleslaw. We dine in, the food took reasonable time, fresh, tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful in selecting my first order. The coleslaw wasn?t so great but it wasn?t an issue for me or the kids.
