Plenty of empty tables, nicely air conditioned, some staff were having a late lunch, too. There were 2 other occupied tables.Menu was quite extensive, many dim sum. Nicely priced. Ordered shrimp siomai, pork spareribs, sweet & sour pork, sweet & sour fish, garlic spareribs. First to arrive though were my yangchow fried rice & beef steak rice. Yangchow was bland, not good, put in soy sauce with kalamansi to add some taste The beef steak rice was a bit better. Shrimp siomai was newly cooked but not as tasty as others tasted before. Pork spareribs was ok, the others were so-so. Good thing, total bill was only about P460 with senior discount. It was really inexpensive. Wait staff were courteous & efficient but food is really not good.,One visit is enough.
We are a group of 10. We order a set of group menu. So while waiting we order some dim sum food. The dim sum were average in taste with large portions. The set menu of steam fried rice, fried spare ribs, steam fish fillet, vegetable, noodles, 3 kind mushrooms, and coconut pudding for desert for only 1,900.00 pesos that was really cheap. The taste still average.
Meal was okay, the wait was a bit long though. But I did get through my lunch hour so it was okay. Menu has a lot of variety and the service was agreeable, the carts with their available meals were somehow on the floor most of the time.
Harbour City is unremarkable. Anyone who has taste real dim sum in China or Singapore will be able to tell you that whatever they serve there is not it. Thr restaurant is horribly overstaffed, more staff than customers, pushing carts around and giving out food. The food was bland and the prices were mediocre.
I ordered five dishes or so and aside from the sweet and sour pork, they were all pretty digusting. Garlic vegetables tasted like they'd been cooked in the sewer; fried wonton batter was cheesy in flavour and bright orange; shrimp cakes were like chewing on sofa foam. All of that with rice and coke came to 430 pesos! My jaw almost snapped off. As I sat eating all that ran through my mind was, "Why did I come here? This was a mistake, this was a mistake." Felt vaguely queasy and ill after. Service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately they have to shovel this.
