Maredo Steakhouse - Duisburg

My biggest criticism of this somewhat staid steakhouse is that they do not have any mustard. You are offered tomato ketchup or mayonnaise - but no mustard. I find this very disappointing. The steaks are ok.Salad bar a little tired. Desert felt industrial.However, you can always trust that you will have a reasonable meal; not exceptional, but not disappointing.

The food is ok. You get what you ask. It is a big restaurant. Not my favorite restaurant. But everyone has an other taste.

The meat is good; this is not your place if you are vegetarian. Still big choice of salads. Price is not low at all, but reasonable to what you get for it.

Been here before so second visit. Part of a chain but despite the dated old interior good food. Salad bar had lots of choices and good sized bowl you are supplied with. Steak was 400g rib eye and was very well cooked. Service was ok, English wasn't their strong point but then neither is my German. Only issue was the waiter added a big tip before I had a chance to object.

Dinner in the evening with a Colleague. Food was as good as remembered - which is a good thing, as it was late and we were tired, thus good to know the quality of the steaks and accompanying food and beer could be relied upon. It was made all the nicer by having better than usual customer service than is usually the case in Germany (yes, I am afraid so - long time traveller to Germany, and it has not sadly gotten better, though thank fully not the case here!), hence why we were happy to give a good tip.
