Our server was very accommodating of our limited French and explained all the menu items. We both had the three course special...excellent value and delicious food...even a...farewell treat from the chef! Relaxed dining with lovely food.
A little gem recommended by our hostess at the Duck House in Saint Wandrille, run by the young couple Evy and Arnaud Genty who put care and attention to a menu built around local producers and prepared with love. We choose the menu Escapade Euros and Escale at Euros, very reasonable compared to British prices. We had dinner in mid-week and profited of a quiet time when we could enjoy a prime view over the river Seine that run at the bottom of the property. It was a relaying and enjoyable evening.
Le Parc restaurant is about from the centre of Duclair but only a stones throw from our b&b. They not only offer tasty food at reasonable prices but also panoramic views over the Seine which at sunset rivals the food. All our dishes were...very good particularly the duck, but this has to be expected in the duck capital of France. Mme Genty was a charming and attentive host as was our waiter who relayed questions about Australia from the unseen kitchen staff for us to answer. They were interested in our kangaroos while we asked them about their famous Duclair duck. A nice cultural exchange. All in all a very pleasant evening.
“Le Parc” is an outstanding restaurant. Situated in a château on the banks of the Seine, we arrived at sunset to some magnificent views. The Chef is known for his “Canard au Sang”, a duck specialty, which we had to try. We also had Duck...Confit, and the meat melted off the bone. The Chef also makes his own breads and desserts. We had the Chocolate fondant and Apple charlotte. Both were exceptional. Of course we had to finish the meal off with some local cheeses from Normandy. Staffs were very friendly and spoke English. As a traveler who loves her food, for me the evening at “Le Parc” was one of the highlights of my trip. Duck in!
Very well service friendly meals of very good quality with refined dishes and a very friendly setting
