We went for the first time after being recommended to me. The sushi was fantastic. Every time we try a new sushi place in Dublin, they just get better and better. We had the caterpillar, double jalapeno, and their take of a Philadelphia roll. All three were amazing. As far as the atmosphere, it was busy but the place wasn't loud. The restaurant was clean and the seats were comfortable at the sushi bar where we sat. Service: Dine in
The sushi was good as always, although it wasn't quite up to their usual high standard this time. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4 out of 5.
Price: I can see why this is rated 3.8 stars here. I 'm almost positive that it 's mostly due to the price and value for you are paying for. TBH, the prices here are pretty expensive compared to other Japanese restaurants. I think you were paying a little more for what you get, however I do believe the portions are slightly bigger compared to an identical order at another Japanese restaurant. For example, the chirachi bowl is $41 here while in my experience the chirachi don costs around $30 on average in the Bay. The portion size is maybe just little bit more of what you would normally get for this order. We also ordered the grilled edamame for $9.50, red dragon roll for $12.50, and the combination roll for almost $30. All in all, I don 't think I got my money 's worth as it was a bit expensive, but it was worth the experience because it is a nice restaurant and a nice place for a lunch or dinner day out. Food: 5/5, again nothing too complain about besides the price. Can 't compare the taste to a high class or very authentic Japanese restaurant, but the quality of the food does seem pretty good. Customer Service: 5/5 for customer service and for the staff. We arrived here around 12:00 p.m. on a Saturday and there was still open tables but they started to fill up pretty fast so we did not have any wait. We were seated immediately and our server was extremely helpful and checked up on us multiple times without us having to call him, which to me is excellent customer service. Experience Thoughts: I honestly don 't think I would come here again if I could choose only because it is pricey. However if money was not an issue this place is definitely a go-to. They have a bar in there and there 's a lot of space inside with a very open kitchen that has a nice aesthetic and vibe to it. There 's several TVs around the bar area and sushi bar area too so it might be a good sports bar as well? Not sure. I 've only been here once for a family lunch and experience was great! It wasn 't just a quick bite lunch, but someplace you can chill, talk, eat good food, and have a good time type of restaurant. My family enjoyed the food so if you are looking for a nice dining spot to eat, I 'd recommend it. However if you 're more looking just for a quick place to eat, then I 'd recommend somewhere else.
