Ouzos - Dublin

Top notch chef. Lobster and crab salad was excellent, great presentation and wonderfulytaste.

It 's been a long time since I had made a visit to Ouzos, I knew it had been renovated as I had often passed it whilst walking in Dalkey. Finally, we made a booking for a Friday night and on our arrival were warmly welcomed by a very pleasant hostess who took us to our table beside the window. We ordered starters and main courses, I went for the chicken liver parfait whilst my partner had the prawns in a tempura batter and she declared them delicious, the chicken liver was also good. Ouzos offers a wide selection of fish, on the day there was a pan-fried salmon on as a special, I went for this and the other main was a fillet steak, both were well presented and tasty and were washed down by a nice Montepulciano. Desert for both of us was banoffee, which was a little disappointing as it was, in our opinion, a little heavy on the cream and not enough of the real banoffee. Overall we had a very pleasant meal in a busy atmosphere, the hostess appeared to know many of the diners so it looks as if Ouzos has a good cache of regulars. Suffice to say we will return.

Excellent food and very friendly service. When packed (which it normally is! , the noise level might be too much for some but certainly makes for a lively atmosphere and the end of the evening is much easier for communication across the table.

My friend and I visited Ouzos for the first time last week and we were so happy we did. I had lobster which I felt was reasonably priced and cooked perfectly. My friend had steak cooked exactly as she ordered which was tender and plentiful. Starters and desserts were all excellent. The restaurant's decor, atmosphere and service were also excellent, we were made to feel very welcomed and special. Can't wait to return and will be recommending this restaurant to family and friends. Totally worth the drive to the pretty town of Dalkey.

Went there for the first time since lockdown last night, loved it. Food was great, service was brilliant. The menu has changed a bit since last time but the quality is still top notch. Love the new look. Thanks for a great evening.
